Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Part-Time SEO Specialist to manage and implement SEO strategies for our website. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving our online presence, increasing organic traffic, and enhancing our website’s search engine rankings. You will work closely with our marketing team to execute SEO tactics, monitor performance, and ensure continuous improvements
Roles and Responsibilities
Research & Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify high-value search terms and opportunities.
- Analyze competitors’ SEO strategies and identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
On-Page SEO:
- Optimize website content (titles, meta descriptions, headings, URLs) for relevant keywords.
- Collaborate with the content team to ensure that web pages and blog posts are SEO-friendly.
- Regularly update and optimize old content to keep it relevant and search engine-friendly.
Off-Page SEO & Link Building:
- Develop and execute strategies to build high-quality backlinks.
- Monitor backlink profiles and disavow harmful or low-quality links.
Technical SEO:
- Identify and resolve technical SEO issues such as crawl errors, broken links, and site speed issues.
- Optimize the website for mobile-friendliness and user experience.
- Ensure the proper use of sitemaps, robots.txt, and structured data.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track and analyze SEO performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools.
- Create regular performance reports and suggest strategies for further optimization.
- Analyze key metrics such as organic traffic, bounce rates, keyword rankings, and conversion rates.
Stay Updated on SEO Trends:
- Keep up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices.
- Implement new SEO strategies based on industry changes and trends.
Skills and Experience
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in SEO, digital marketing, or a related field.
- SEO Tools Expertise: Proficient in using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or similar platforms.
- Technical SEO Knowledge: Understanding of technical aspects like site structure, page speed optimization, mobile SEO, and crawlability.
- Content Optimization: Experience optimizing content for SEO, including keyword research, on-page SEO, and understanding of user intent.
- Link Building: Proven ability to build high-quality backlinks and manage link-building campaigns.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and metrics to make informed decisions and optimize strategies.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and external partners.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure accurate optimization of web pages and tracking of metrics.
- Self-Motivated & Independent: Ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience in eCommerce SEO
- Familiarity with WordPress, HTML, or CSS for basic website changes. Experience in local SEO or international SEO
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress or Shopify
