Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Developer with expertise in PHP and WordPress to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing WordPress websites and applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and deliver solutions that meet the needs of our clients while ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient PHP code to enhance website functionality.
- Collaborate with designers and project managers to implement user-friendly features and responsive designs.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize WordPress websites for performance, security, and scalability.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services with WordPress.
- Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness of all websites.
- Collaborate with the QA team to conduct thorough testing and resolve any issues before deployment.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Provide technical support and assistance to clients and internal teams on WordPress/WooCommerce-related issues, troubleshooting problems and offering solutions.
- Stay updated on the latest WordPress and WooCommerce releases, features, and best practices, and propose innovative solutions to enhance our development process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and other developers, to deliver projects on time and within scope.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience developing WordPress websites and WooCommerce stores, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Proficiency in PHP programming language and MySQL database management.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
- Experience with WordPress theme development, including custom theme creation and modification.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
- Familiarity with WooCommerce plugin development, including customizing product pages, checkout process, and payment gateways.
- Knowledge of WordPress coding standards, best practices, and security principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to debug and resolve complex issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git, and development workflows (e.g., GitFlow), is a plus.
